The trEATsmart app is an electronic self-management system that aims to expand and improve therapy.
It helps identify opportunities to practice skills learned in therapy.
trEATsmart works best if you make your entries regularly throughout the day.You should record each of your meals daily.
Additionally, make an entry each time you engage in problem eating behaviors (eg, binge eating or overeating), experience cravings, or notice a significant change in your mood.
Further entries on weight, regular exercise and body-related behavior can also be made as soon as they have been activated for you.trEATsmart will analyze each entry to identify opportunities to practice skills learned in therapy.
If trEATsmart has recognized an opportunity to practice, you will receive a short intervention after your entry.
Whenever possible, try to implement the strategy suggested by trEATsmart right away.
The more practice you have, the easier it will be to master the skills you learn in therapy.
The regular application of therapeutic strategies in everyday life outside of the sessions is crucial for good therapeutic success.
So the more you use the suggested strategies, the more likely you are to benefit from therapy.Additional information about using the trEATsmart app can be found in the trEATsmart manual for patients.
